Mount Abu

Mount Abu, one of the favourite hill stations for the tourist during summer, located in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan. The place comes under the Sirohi district of the state. Mount Abu is 58 km from Palanpur (Gujrat) and 741 km from the capital of the country, Delhi. Mount Abu is a shrine place for Hindu and Jain devotees. The area is well nurtured with great diversity of Flora and is the habitat centre for many endangered species. Gangaur and Patotasav are two major festivals of Mount Abu which are celebrated in the summer season and the major attractions of the town. The place is comprised with some fascinating picnic spots and a wide range of romantic retreats of royal families which are the favourite destinations for a large numbers of tourists.

Dilwara Temples
The Dilwara Temple is very much famous among the Jain supporters. The complete temple was constructed in 11th to 13th century with white marbles which enhances the beauty of the temple. The architectural work on the pillar and the roof of the temple tells the talent of the ancient sculptors.

Nakki Lake
The word Nakki means finger nails, reflecting the belief that the lake was clawed out of the earth by the fingernails of the gods. It is a pretty lake surrounded by wooden hills being the focal point of the entire town. Boating is a popular

pastime, south west of the lake being the Sunset Point with its lovely view of the surrounding hills. From here you can see the sunset spectacularly between two sunset peaks.

Adhar Devi Temple
The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga who is recognized as the core source of energy. It is surrounded by rocky cleaves and can be reachable through a small opening of the cave. At the time of Navaratri, lots of Hindu pilgrims arrive to this place to worship their Goddess for 9 days.

Guru Shikhar
This is the highest mountain peak of Aravalli range, in Rajasthan. In the peak of the temple God Dattatreya is seated who is the incarnation of the divine trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The peak of Guru Shikhar is reachable taking the adventurous trek of the mountain. Some other temples that are holding the beauty of the place are Gaumukh temple and Shri Raghunathji Temple.
