Ranthambore

Ranthambore is one of the renowned national parks located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan. This place is 110km apart from north east of Kota and 180 km from south east of Jaipur. Ranthambore was declared as tiger reserve forest in 1973 and became a well known national park in 1980. The park is covered with dense forest where variety of wildlife can be seen that includes leopard, nilgai, hyena, wild boar, sloth bear, sambar and chital. Every year a wide variety of birds visit to this place which gives very eye-catching scenery. Lots of flora is covering the Ranthambore and most of them are used in medicinal purpose. Once, this place was the battle field of many rulers where series of battle were took place.

Ranthambore fort
Ranthambore fort was built by the Ruler Pritviraja Chauhan of Chauhan dynasty in the last 944 A.D. The fort is surrounded by the famous Ranthambbore National Park which was a favourite hunting ground of ancient rulers of Jaipur. The fort was constructed with many buildings but most of them have been ruined during the battle of the ancient kings. But the Badal Mahal and Hammirs court are two major attractions for the tourist.

Jogi Mahal
Jogi Mahal is the excellent guest house for the tourist in Ranthambore which is constructed with modern amenities, offers the tourist an enchanting time. The Mahal was constructed as a hunting lodge for the royal family of Jaipur. One can comfortably see the great scenario of the park sitting inside the Jogi Mahal.

Padam Talao
The Padam Talao Lake is flowing in the midst of the Ranthambore National Park which is the favorite watering hole of all the animals of the park. One can watch this beautiful scenery sitting inside the Jogi Mahal which is situated on the bank of the lake but the best time to watch the animal is early morning or in the evening.
