Sariska

Sariska is one of the worth visiting tourist destinations of India, located in the North-West part of the state Rajasthan. The place is famous for its Tiger Reserve Forest and declared as national park in 1979. At a distance of 200 km from Delhi and 107 km from Jaipur, Sariska is beautifully seated in the backdrop of Aravalli Hills. Sariska Tiger Reserve
Sariska Tiger Reserve is located in Alwar district, Rajasthan. The forest is enriched with a wide diversity Leopard, Bengal Tiger, caracal, golden kackal, jungle cat, hyena, nilgai, chital, hanuman langur, reptiles and plenty of birds. Therefore, Sariska has become one of the favourite destination places for wildlife lover and adventurous people.

Jai Samand Lake
This beautiful lake is favourite picnic spot for the tourists, constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1910 A.D. In the middle of the Jai Samad Lake a large island with green grassland is holding the beauty of the lake.

Vijai Mandir Palace
A splendid palace, built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1918 A. D. picturesque lake overlooking the palace makes it a fascinating sight.

Hanuman Temple
Sariska, not only holding the vast wildlife but it also has a great religious significance and attracts lots of religious people throughout the year. The Hanuman Temple is located in Sariska National Park, close to the Pandupole water stream. The giant statue of Lord Hanuman was positioned at the period of Mahabharata.

Kankwari Fort
The fort is a live paradigm which shows the link of Mughal with Sariska in ancient time. Most of the people do not know about this fort but it has a great significance which is holding the history of medieval India.

Air: The Jaipur Airport is the nearest airport from Sariska. Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, and Sahara connect Jaipur with Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
Rail: The nearest rail junction is the Sawai Madhopur Railway Station at a distance of 11 km from the park.
Road: An excellent road network links Sariska will the other major cities of Rajasthan. It takes around one hour to reach Sariska from Alwar (36 km).
