Gwalior is a small district of the state Madhya Pradesh, situated at a distance of 186 miles from Delhi and 263 miles from the north of Bhopal. SIGHTSEEING/ TOURIST ATTRACTIONS AT GWALIOR

Gwalior Fort : One of the biggest forts in India placed on an isolated rock which is enclosed with six palaces, three temples and a variety of water tanks. The fort is covering an area of 3 sq km and is surrounded by a huge wall of sandstone.

Shivpuri : 114 kms from Gwalior is the old summer capital of Scindhias. Set in formal gardens, the Chhatris (tombs) are the main attraction here. With Mughal pavilions and sikhara spires these beautiful memorials to the Scindhia rulers are inlaid in Pietra dura style like the Taj Mahal.

Surajkund
Surajkund is a small waterhole which is sited inside the Gwalior fort. Many people of the city believe that the water of the tank has remedial power as it cured the leprosy disease of the king Suraj Sen.

Man Mandir Palace
It is one of the extravagant places in Gwalior city, constructed inside the Gwalior fort by Raja Man Singh. Presently, the tiles that were used to retain its splendid decoration outside of the wall are no longer there; but the outline of its glorious decoration can still be found it the palace.

Saas-Bahu Temple
The Saas-Bahu temple is the major landmark of Gwalior fort and located in the east side of the fort which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. As the name suggests, the temple is not dedicated to mother- in- law and daughter-in -law.
